Soil Sampling Equipment Recommendation:

Option One:

Good for harder ground conditions. Sampling depth limited by ground conditions - typically 6 to 8 feet. Sampling Tube developed for soil dissipation studies, but can be used like any of our sampling tubes. Sampling tube fills a plastic liner 2 inches in diameter by 6 inches long.

Option Three:

Good for soft, hard-packed, and even frozen soils without large rocks. The simple operation and portability of this probe has made short work of many jobs usually performed by truck-mounted probes.

With a sampling range down to 20 feet or more, the JMC Environmentalist's Sub-Soil Probe Plus gathers a 3 or 4 foot long sample measuring 1.2 inches in diameter in a clear plastic liner.
